Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster – For when you look long into the abyss,
the abyss also looks into you.” — Nietzsche
I wish that the border between dreams and reality become hard to distinguish, only then will we not bother about what [...]

The sun, the sand and the sea

Singapore is an island so just travel for about 30 minutes and you’ll end up seeing the sea at some point. I am so used to having the sea nearby that when i recently went abroad for work at a location where there are no main rivers or seaside nearby i felt a little uncomfortable. [...]

Every country has a Chinatown

The Chinese are people who retain part, if not all of their cultures and traditions wherever they go. Almost every country has a mini Chinatown and Singapore is one of them too.
Chinatown is very much alive in the weeks prior to the Chinese New Year as the smell of barbequed pork permeates through the backalleys [...]

Departure Hall – Singapore Changi Airport

I left Singapore to go on a trip to London in January and boy am I glad that i didn’t go in February because it seems like so many of my friends in England are snowed in. In fact i felt that i already hit the cold threshold and i can’t imagine myself waking up [...]

Complaints, Trains and Automobiles

Its getting quite unbearable to take a train to work in the morning as unfortunately i stay near a train station which is the last in the line before it connects to another route so its usually packed like sardines the time it reaches my place. This only happens during peak periods when everyone’s rushing [...]

Sunset – Changi Boardwalk

Nothing beats the serenity of catching the sunset at Changi Boardwalk. Best time is to be there ready by 645pm. You would get at least 30 minutes of trigger happy moments.

Sunset @ Labrador Park

Labrador park is a great place to hang out with friends and families. It’s facing the sea. At one end of the park, you could have a private beach though I don’t really recommend it as the seawater is quite dirty.
However, things that you could do there would be jogging, kite-flying and having a picnic. [...]

Clouds at sea

I have been stuck at sea for the past 2 days. Its not a pleasant experience especially when one has not gotten used to the rolling and pitching on board after an absence of a year. I am not unfamiliar with the sea, having served more than 2 years in the coast guard, but sometimes [...]

Sunrise at Changi Boardwalk (No. 2)

I find it insane to take a 6.00am flight from Changi Airport. First of all, you have to wake up at 3.00am which effectively means you don’t get much sleep at all. I mean, who are you kidding, everyone packs their bags at the last minute and sleep a little later than usual the night [...]

Sunset at Mount Faber

Sometimes certain things just happen unplanned. In this instance, I was just about to finish an outdoor fashion shoot when I noticed that the cable cars going from Mount Faber to Sentosa were actually visible from where I stood. They casted an amazing silhoutte across the sun which I enjoyed viewing very much. It was [...]

There are a lot of good places to take good landscape photos in Singapore. One such place is Lower Pierce Reservoir. This was taken at around 7.30am.

Sunset at Changi Boardwalk

Two weeks ago I posted on taking Sunrise Photos at Changi Boardwalk. I went to Changi Boardwalk again on Friday evening to chase some wicked light. I wanted very badly to start the weekend with a bang, so what more to join my friends Imran , Sham and Hazmee. Unlike the Sunset Photos, the pace [...]

Capturing Sunrise at Changi Boardwalk

Mornings at Changi Beach are beautiful and refreshing. A beach that would be abuzz with activity in the day would actually be very peaceful and therapeutic in the early morning. Besides the bumboat drivers preparing quietly for the late morning journeys, and the random nocturnal dog scouring bins for food, you can walk along the [...]
