National Day in Singapore has always been celebrated with much pomp and splendour. We always look forward to the Singapore National Day Parade where there will be marching bands, lots of song and dance routines, streaks of confetti, laser and pyrotechnics shows, aerial displays and lots more. Everyone looks forward to taking photos of the parade displays. A different committee will be elected each year to spearhead the nation’s celebration and they go all out to out do the past years grand celebrations.

Things can get very squeezy when everyones hyped up to catch fireworks. I reached the large open field beside Collyer Quay at 4.30pm thinking that I was THAT crazy to be there so early, only to realise that there were already a thousand people there. I took these photos while waiting in vain for time to pass. People were already knocking onto my tripod and I needed a breather cuz apparently not everyone has a constant supply of deodorant that they put on everyday. I thank God for the little things that I can have.
